On February 13 and 14, staff from SD20, Kootenay Columbia, participated in an Outdoor Council of Canada course lead by SD20 teacher Matthias Starzner. This course enables teachers of any experience level to develop skills and judgement leading participants outdoors. From neighbourhood experiences, nature-walks, to day hikes, teachers built best practices that align with industry standards. Let's keep taking kids outside and returning with memorable and rewarding experiences!
